What is Fishing Chaos?

We are a dynamic platform that allows tournament directors to run their tournaments more effectively, charter captains to manage their businesses more efficiently, and anglers to keep their fishing trips more organized.

Is it free to use?

The app is free to download and use. While we do have some subscription levels you are still able to use and enjoy the many features of the app for free.

How can I get my tournament/charter/club listed on Fishing Chaos?

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

Press the ‘Reset password’ button underneath the ‘Email’ and ‘Password’ box that is on the screen when you first open the app. You will be prompted to enter your email address and will be sent an email with a reset link that is active for 1 hour. Follow the instructions in the email and you’ll be good to go.

Dashboard

What is Dashboard?

The Dashboard is a quick past, present, or future view of any fishing tournaments that you participated in as an angler or an admin. You can also see any past, present, or future bookings you have with a Charter. If you are an employee (owner, captain, staff) you can also see your Charter business in your dashboard. If you are a member of a Club it will also show here.

How do I see the tournaments I have participated in in the past?

Click/press SEE MORE TOURNAMENTS. If you remember the name of the tournament you can start typing it in the “Filter displayed tournaments” box at the top of the screen. Once you’ve found the tournament select it and you will be directed to its main page.

Can I access my upcoming trip from my Dashboard?

Yes! Under the Charter bookings heading you will see your trips. From there you can select the trip and be directed to your booking on the Charter’s page.

Catch Log

What is Catch Log?

Some people use a notebook. Some use a spreadsheet. We took those old school log books and digitized them. Use this tool to keep track of information about your catches for a quick and easily accessible record of your accomplishments.  You are able to enter the metrics of the fish, the tackle you used, where you caught it, weather condition, and much more.

Will my catches from tournaments I am participating in go to my Catch Log?

If you are participating in the a virtual tournament they will. The information you enter in from the Submit Catch page in the tournament will automatically be written to your Catch Log. You have the ability to go to the entry and add more information for your records as well.

If I catch a tagged fish can my information be sent to a tagging program for their records?

Yes! We ask that you send an email to us giving us permission to share your catch information regarding the tagged fish you enter into your Catch Log. Once you’ve done that only the information related to the tagged fish will sent.

Can I book a trip directly from the app?

Yes you can! You can do everything from booking to the trip to paying a tip and everything in between.

Tournaments

Whether your looking to participate in a tournament, host a tournament, or just follow along Fishing Chaos has developed a way for it be easier for you.

Am I able to participate in any of the tournaments listed?

No. Some of the tournaments are only available in certain areas. However, you can look at the rules to see if the area you are in, or will be in, is eligible for the tournament. If you know where you will be you can search by location, fish type, or keywords that the tournament staff has entered. Also, if it is a challenge tournament and you have a subscription with Fishing Chaos so that you are able to challenge an entry in that tournament.

How do I set up a tournament?

Contact our sales/marketing team and they will help you with setting up your tournament. Fill out the needed information here and we will get back to you soon.

How much do you charge for tournaments?

Fishing Chaos charges 3.5% +$1.50 per ticket sold (with cap of $20). That’s it. No charge for hosting the tournament on our site.

What is needed from me to put my tournament on Fishing Chaos?

How can I get in touch with someone if I have a question regarding a tournament?

There are two possible ways to contact someone with the tournament. The first one is by pressing on the ‘Tournament questions’ button with the envelope icon located in the ‘Help lines’ section on the main page of the tournament. This will allow you to email the tournament director. The second option is to press the ‘Tournament questions’ button with the telephone icon located in the ‘Help lines’ section on the main page of the tournament. This will allow you to call the tournament director.

Can I come back at a later time and purchase an additional ticket if there is one available?

Yes. As long as ticket sales are still open and there is a ticket available that you did not purchase initially you can. You would do that by doing the following –

  1. Press on the ‘Tournament dashboard’ button located on the main page of the tournament
  2. Press on the ‘Tickets’ tab
  3. Press on the ‘Get more tickets’ option
  4. Complete the process as you did when you purchased your first ticket

Subscription

Whether your looking to participate in a tournament, host a tournament, or just follow along Fishing Chaos has developed a way for it be easier for you.

Why am I asked about a subscription when I purchase my tournament tickets?

Depending on the tournament, when you purchase a ticket there is a convenience fee associated with the purchase. If you purchase one of our subscription options the fee will be waived.

What is the subscription amount?

We offer two subscription levels – “The Fish Wrangler” and “The Weekend Warrior”

The Fish Wrangler is our yearly subscription level. It costs $43.89 per year. You’re paying for 11 months and we’re throwing in the 12th free!

The Weekend Warrior is our monthly subscription level. It costs $3.99 per month

Are there any other things/offers that I receive with a subscription?

Yes. If you purchase “The Fish Wrangler” you will receive coupons and special offers from some or our friends in the industry. You are also eligible for exclusive subscriber only content such as being able to challenge an entry in a tournament even if you are not participating in the tournament.

Will I receive a bill when my subscription expires?

No. Our subscriptions are automatic renewal.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You’ll need to log in to the app and do the following – 

  1. Press the three horizontal white lines in the upper left corner of the app
  2. Press on your name
  3. Press on ‘Manage’ in the ‘Payments & subscriptions’ card
  4. Press on ‘Manage’ in the ‘Subscription’ section
  5. Press on ‘Manage’
  6. Press on ‘Terminate subscription’
  7. Press on ‘Yes, terminate’
